Cemfloor is a calcium-sulphate-free cementitious binder mixed with sand and water on site. It flows like thick custard, finds its own level, and cures into a hard wearing slab in days. We install Cemfloor Therm for underfloor-heated builds and Cemfloor NH where you want a fast-drying unbonded screed.
Bonded: from 25 mm. Unbonded: from 30 mm. Floating over insulation: from 35 mm. Over underfloor heating pipes: 30 mm cover (so a 16 mm pipe sits in a 46 mm slab). 50 mm is a common depth for domestic UFH builds. We confirm the right build-up for your slab when we review the site.
Light foot traffic from 24 hours. Following trades back on the floor from 3 to 5 days. The slab keeps drying for several weeks. Tiling and timber floors need a moisture check first — we can advise on the right timing for your finishes.
We mobilise the truck, the line pump and the crew. We pre-check the UFH pressure, edge insulation, DPM and access. We pump, level, dapple and sign off. You get the batch records, the photos and the customer sign-off in your inbox the day we pour.
Cemfloor cures with a thin layer of laitance on top. We can sand it back for you, or your tiler can prime over it once it's down to the right moisture content.
Yes, once the slab has dried to the right moisture content. The drying time depends on depth, ventilation and the build-up underneath. We can advise on a moisture test schedule when we quote.
Yes. Cemfloor Therm runs equally well over wet or electric UFH. The cover depth and warm-up programme is the same.
